Two years have now passed since the tragic events of the first Scream move. In typical Hollywood fashion, the bestseller 'The Woodsboro Murders', written by hack journalist Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), is being turned into a would-be blockbuster film. The Ghostface killer, however, is not at all happy about this. When two students are killed at the first screening of the film 'Stab', it becomes clear that the cycle of death is about to start all over again. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy) are now regular students at Windsor College, while Cotton Weary (Liev Schrieber) - imprisoned by mistake by an overzealous prosecutor - is trying to get recompense for his time in jail. Dewey Riley (David Arquette) comes to protect Sidney, his 'surrogate sister', from the rising body count. But Sidney needs no one's protection and is anxious for revenge!
