"The Abandoned" (2006) tells about the American film producer named Marie (Anastasia Hille). After years of working in USA she decides to return to Russia, to country where her biological parents should be. But, something strange happens, and her mother's body is found massacred in Russia. Marie decides to live in an old house which she inherited from her dead parents, but, it looks like that house in the mountains is damned. Marie tells that to local superstitions of the place, but no one believes her. However, one man, stranger and unknown to her (Carlos Reig) believes her, and seems to know everything about her. Then they embark on a journey but her guide mysteriously disappears, which leaves her alone on her journey...
