Security guard and recent immigrant from Africa, Joe Yumba (Eriq Ebouaney) works hard and earns only a little money, but he is much happier with his current situation than his in Africa. When hardship strikes Yumba’s life and his neighborhood, he takes matters into his own hands and kidnaps one of the area’s most dangerous criminals, Eddie Gilroy (James Frain). He uses Gilroy as his decoy as they rob the bank in which he works. Gilroy does not take the job lying down, and seeks to have his brutal revenge on Yumba and all of his associates, unless Joe is able to overcome his powerful criminal empire and take the man down.
