Dean (Jamie Bell) has to suddenly deal with the death of his best friend. While he is trying to sort out his own emotions, other people are far more interested in the drugs that his friend used to supply them with. Crystal (Camilla Belle) tries to talk Dean into helping find and retrieve the drugs. When that doesn’t work, Billy (Justin Chatwin) gets a better idea. He kidnaps Dean’s brother, or at least attempts to. He plans to use him as leverage to force Dean to get the drugs. Dean tries to help Charlie Bratley (Thomas Curtis) as all of the parents become obstacles. Every time there is a chance to end this conflict, either the disbelief, lack of concern or complete denial allow these teenagers to run unchecked. There is both a wedding and a memorial service coming up. Maybe someone will find the drugs and find out how a child can be kidnapped without their parents noticing before they are over.
