The story revolves around two senior actors Maurice (Peter O'Toole) and Ian (Leslie Phillips) .They both are aged successful people who have slightly different views about life. Ian thinks that they are glowing older and death is approaching them so he calls his grand niece Jessie to take care of him. Soon he realizes that Jessie is quite hard and difficult. But on the contrary Maurice thinks the other way about Jessie. The story progresses as Maurice falls for Jessie and is very much interested in her not realizing that she is very much younger than him. The twist in the story happens when Jessie starts liking a boy and Maurice is not able to handle this situation. Ultimately things get sorted out between Maurice and Jessie. The story concludes with the death of Maurice.
